I’m Justus. I’m a 28 year old Groomologist specializing in all things wedding related (not really). I was recently married in June and have spent the past 8 months or so planning my wedding. Throughout the wedding planning process, I learned a ton and realized that good quality insight for grooms was no where to be found and I wasn’t sure why. Having planned my own wedding and acting as a groomsman in three other weddings in the last year alone, I’ve realized a simple fact-None of us know what the hell we’re doing. Is it that we’re lazy? Or simply that we don’t know where to start and/or what tasks we can tackle as grooms?
If you’re like me, you want to be involved, but not too involved. You want to be sure your wedding is the day your fiancé has dreamed of and a kickass party you and your friends will never forget. Perhaps more importantly, you want to make sure that you aren’t left living on the street after spending thousands on a single night.
The mission of Groomsplained is simple- Grooming. Explained. The goal is to provide insights, tips, and tricks for any groom looking to help a little, or a lot, in the wedding planning process. Are there easy ways to save money? Are there tips to making the process quick and easy? Are there aspects of your wedding (the booze) that are more important than others? You bet your ass there is.
